Information architecture (IA) is the frame used to build out website content and tools. It is a highly specialised subject area but is the glue holding together everything that we do. It enables users to find what they need with a minimum of searching and confusion - whether the website is highly complex with thousands of pages, or smaller 'single-entity' websites.
